Hitchcock Healthcare’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Services provides a comprehensive team of experienced professionals to attend to your individualized rehabilitation needs regardless of your illness, injury, or surgical needs.

Complex Lymphedema Therapy is a safe and non-invasive treatment which returns the lymphedematous extremity to near normal size. The reduction of swelling improves the quality of life and significantly reduces the occurrence of cellulitis and other life threatening infections.
Certified Hand Therapy is a specialized knowledge of upper extremity function. Using specialized skills in assessment and treatment, hand therapists work with their clients to prevent injury or impairment, restore functional activity, and enhance participation in daily life.
Aquatic Therapy is performed in a heated pool for patient comfort. The resistance of the water during exercise provides a safe environment for addressing balance, strength, and postural deficits. For those patients who may have difficulty exercising on land, aquatic therapy provides a comfortable and therapeutic medium in which to gain strength and endurance.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a program of education and exercises that teaches you about your lungs, how to exercise and do activities with less shortness of breath, and how to manage your life with a lung condition.
Neurological Rehabilitation is a program designed to treat patients suffering from stroke, neuromuscular disease, and certain types of head trauma and spinal cord injury. Our specifically trained interdisciplinary team provides a comprehensive assessment and individualized treatment plan for this population of patients.
Our team is dedicated to motivating and supporting you as you move toward your goal of returning to your highest level of independent functioning. In coordination with your referring physician our Physical, Occupational, and or Speech Therapy staff will help you reach your goals in a professional and friendly atmosphere. Your treatment plan is designed especially for you, to meet your goals. We will develop a plan that may include specialized exercise, modalities (such as heat, ice, electric stimulation) and other forms of treatment.
Hitchcock Healthcare is here to direct, support and encourage you. Therapy is not something we do to you, but rather something we do together. It is active and requires your participation from goal setting through the completion of the treatment plan and beyond. Together, we’ll overcome the challenges and celebrate the victories along the way. These services are provided at our main facility in Aiken, South Carolina as well as our satellite clinic in Barnwell, South Carolina.

- Must be at least 12 years of age.
- You have a functional limitation that causes pain or prevents you from performing self-care, work or leisure activities.
